Question 1

Does my text get sent to any server when paraphrasing?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely not. The PixelsKits paraphraser runs entirely inside your browser using Transformers.js and WebAssembly. Open your DevTools Network tab — you will see zero outbound requests containing your text. Only the one-time model download (cached afterward) touches the network.

Question 2

Can I use this for confidential workplace documents or healthcare records?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Because inference never leaves your device memory, PixelsKits is suitable for NDA-bound, HIPAA-sensitive, and internal corporate text. Unlike QuillBot or ChatGPT, we do not log drafts or train on your content.

Question 3

What paraphrasing modes are available?

Accepted Answer

Five modes: Standard (balanced rewording), Fluency (polished grammar), Formal (academic/corporate), Simple (plain language), and Creative (expressive vocabulary). You can also adjust tone and output length.

Question 4

Does it work offline without an internet connection?

Accepted Answer

Yes. After the Flan-T5 model weights (~60 MB) are cached in IndexedDB on first use, you can disconnect from Wi-Fi or enable Airplane Mode and keep paraphrasing indefinitely.

Question 5

Is there a word or character limit?

Accepted Answer

No artificial paywalls. Longer documents are chunked client-side to fit the model context window. Processing speed depends on your device CPU/GPU.
